The Section 278 works package was under Herts Highways consent and involved the setting up and maintaining of traffic management on a stretch of busy Herts Highways. Restricted working space within the Section 278 works perimeter meant that health and safety was paramount whilst also ensuring access and egress to the new housing development.
The S278 works package involved drainage & service ducts instatement and movement, earthworks and compaction works, as well as pavement, footways and paved areas. Traffic signs and street furniture were also installed to complete the project.
