West Mersea – Road & Footway Construction Essex

Client: Ringway / Essex County Council Duration: 12 Weeks Value: £50,000 > £100,000

The requirement was to construct a new drainage system & re-construct Prince Albert Road & Footpath in order for Essex County Council to adopt this private road. The challenge was to complete this project while accommodating residents of the 22 houses that reside along the stretch of road to be re-constructed, maintaining the vehicle access crossovers and ensuring the safety of the general public. Early consultation with the residents was vital to ensure that both planning and the relationship between us and those affected by the works were addressed prior to any works starting on site.

The works consisted of installing a new drainage system to collect the surface water from the newly constructed road, 450mm of excavation and Reconstruction of the road, the construction of new footpaths to include new kerbs & edgings, new surfacing at existing footpaths, vehicle crossovers and birco drainage.

Resident 26 Prince Albert Road – MRS Gentry “I would like to thank all your staff working in Prince Albert Road. They were all helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Please pass on my comments, they deserve to know.”
